This year was a year of many “firsts” for us.  Aden had his first trip to Michigan to visit Jamie’s sister’s family, Shannon, Bill, Kylie, Jenna, and Brooke.  Aden loves visiting with his cousins and was very sad to leave.  I was surprised at how “cold” Michigan was in July!  We also enjoyed a day trip to Marshall for the 4th of July celebrations.  On our road trip, we stopped at Ruby Falls and Rock City in Chattanooga, Tennessee.  For anyone who has ever seen the billboards, it is definitely worth the stop to see the beautiful rock formations.  And if you are looking for a Starbucks, they have one across the street!

We also took a side trip to visit my childhood fantasy, Babyland General in Cleveland, Georgia. Any girl who grew up in the 80’s has always dreamed of visiting the birthplace of the Cabbage Patch Kid and I was not disappointed!
